I hope you’ll find something here that tickles your fancy. I love Europe and history and I’m always on the lookout for a good, quirky story to tell. Based in Nice, France, I write mostly about France, but when inspiration strikes, I also write about some of the other places I ramble.
Below is a brief summary of what is on this site and how to find it. Thank you for stopping by.

What I Write
I’ve written three books that are available in paperback and e-book: French Holidays & Traditions, Curious Histories of Nice, France, and Curious Histories of Provence.
There are also two small (and free) e-books on my site. They are basically compilations of some of my blog posts: A Taste of Nice, France and Jean Cocteau on the Riviera.
To have a look at my Books Page, you can click the “Books” tab in the menu or you can click here: Books
I also write regular articles on my blog. I like unusual stories, and I enjoy searching for them. I live in France and the UK, and I often travel in Italy, so it’s no surprise that these are the places I write about most. In the menu, you’ll find tabs for France, Nice France, Italy, and the UK, as well as a few other topics. To read my recent articles, go back to my Blog Home Page
If you would like to follow The Curious Rambler – which means that you would receive an email when I publish a new article (usually every two weeks) – you will find the “Follow The Curious Rambler” button just above my photo. If your screen is large enough, this will be in the sidebar, but if you are on a smaller device, it will be at the bottom of the articles.
If you are looking for something in particular, there are search boxes located in the sidebar – or at the bottom if you are reading on a small screen.
If you would like to contact me, you can leave a comment at the end of any article, or there is a “Contact” button in the menu. You can also click here: Contact
Thank you so much for taking the time to look around my site, and I hope you’ll find something that interests you.
All the best,
