Margo’s Musings

Margo's Musings 02

Small cover copy400Spring is in the air. Sunshine and flowers make people happy and it seems everyone is out enjoying the lovely weather… Everyone except me, that is. I’ve been working like a mad woman trying to finish up my latest book, Curious Histories of Provence: Tales from the South of France. The good news is that it went off to the editor today.

I’ll be presenting it at our Meet the Authors event in Nice on June 3. This is our third annual event, and this year, there will be seven authors presenting their books. If you are in Nice, be sure to stop by and see us.

Meet the Authors 2017

Participating Authors: Patricia Sands, Margo Lestz, Lisa Anselmo, Julia Allen, Kristin Espanesse, Claire Griffiths, and Patrick Murphy. Moderator: Adrian Leeds.
To read more about the authors click here or on the “Events” tab.

Since I’ve been so busy finishing up my book, I thought this week I would just share some events that might interest you.

Truffle hunting in ProvenceTruffles

Summer truffle season is here! My husband and I enjoyed winter truffle hunting at Les Pastras and had a great time. You can read about truffles and our experience here. I guarantee that this will be a fun day out – and you get sample truffle treats too.

Truffle hunting isn’t the only activity available on this organic Provençal farm: You can also participate in an olive harvest or try your hand (or your feet) at grape-stomping.

Charlotte Novits-2Art Exhibition in Arles

Charlotte Novitz art exhibition is running through June 7 in Arles. At L’Archa des Carmes, 23 rue des Carmes, 13200 Arles. If you are in the area, it is great opportunity to learn about this artist and her passion for earth and stones. Click here or on the image for more info.

Well, I hope you now have some ideas for things to do this summer. I’ll be sure and let you know when my book is available for sale, and in the meantime, enjoy the spring weather (for those of you in this hemisphere).
