Margo’s Holiday Musings

Twas the week before Christmas, as I sat in my house,
Not a noise to be heard, save me clicking my mouse,
Typing Christmas greetings to my readers with care,
Hoping that someone was reading out there.

Well, it’s the holiday season again, and I just love this time of year. I love the festive greenery, sparkling lights, Christmas markets, mulled wine, roasted nuts, and the little nip in the air.

I adore holiday traditions as well and, as my tagline says, I strive to “bring history to life.” I enjoy digging into the past and finding out how the customs we celebrate today got started. So over the past several years, I’ve written quite a few articles about the Christmas season – and you can see a list of them here: Christmas Reading.

The holidays are a time to thank those who are near and dear to us. So here’s a big THANK YOU to all my readers. Thank you for reading my articles and for your encouraging words. Thank you for reading my books and leaving reviews or for just sending kind thoughts my way. I appreciate you all.

Looking Back

As the year draws to a close, many of us look back and say, “Where did the year go? What did I do in the last 12 months?” As I was pondering this question, I found it difficult to remember – next year I think I’ll try to keep a list as I go…

I do know that I spent June in Nice, France where I met up with my writing friends and attended the “Meet the Authors” event. Then Jeff joined me and we drove through Provence where we attended the Tarasque Festival (which was a hoot) and saw the Van Gogh exhibit in Les Baux de Provence. It was a great summer. Then I spent the month of September in Florence, Italy – a city that I fell in love with 20 years ago when I went there for an art history course.

On my blog, I managed to publish 9 articles about the UK, 8 articles about France, 6 articles about Holidays, and… 🎶 5 golden rings 🎶… (Oops! I mean 5 articles about Florence). Looking Ahead

No one knows what the future will bring, but I plan to continue searching for curious bits of history, writing about them, and sharing them with you. So I hope you will enjoy them.

My hope for you is that you will have a wonderful holiday season, whatever you have planned. And may your every wish come true.
