The little story below was written by my friend and writing buddy, Claire. It’s just too cute to not put on my site.
Once upon a time…
Once upon a time, there was an extraordinary woman who lived in Nice, France. Every week she would write mysterious stories based on real life adventures from the past, and in all the years they knew her, no one ever discovered how she found those stories.
Some say she was from the moon and every night she bent over the moon’s edge and could watch the world as it was in the present, future, and in the past – all at the same time. They say she picked out the best stories to entertain the people she knew when she popped down to France to bathe in the sea.
But no matter who she was, the people just loved her stories.

I always suspected that it was a “woman in the moon!” Brava!
I think perhaps she liked to nibble a biscuit as she peered over the edge to watch ?
Yes indeed! In fact, what people think is dust, is often just those biscuit crumbs. 🙂
I kept waiting for Claire to say that’s why we call the lady “MargoMoon”!
Clever little story… Great addition to your folktales!
Thanks. Claire is in my writing group and one day she wrote this as a comment on one of my stories. So cute!
See I knew it sounded like you! Claire did well by you… 😉
